Description

"When the Gloves Come Off" is an informative and insightful book that elaborates on the rising number of families who take each other to court in will and trust contests, and the true reasons behind the cases. Author Sally Babbitt combines legal authority, observations from real cases, a little background in psychology, and a lot of truth. The good, the bad, and the ugly can all be found in this book.

Throughout this book, you will take a deep dive into complex cases and discover their driving forces. Despite the financial implications of trust contests and inheritances, you will see that it is not really all about the money. This is a must read for legal professionals and all who are interested or involved with this specific subject matter. Deeply informative and thorough, this book is a must-have legal resource.

Author Bio

Sally considers herself the accidental attorney after a series of life events led her to become a full-time estates and trusts attorney with the majority of her cases being family disputes in the probate court (known as probate litigation).

She holds a bachelor's degree from Albion College and worked as a divisional controller in a multi-state manufacturing company for several years before leaving her job to stay home and raise her children. While home with her kids she obtained her Juris Doctorate from Thomas M. Cooley Law School.

After a change in marital status, she returned to the work force full-time where she has spent over twenty years practicing law. She also is a certified mediator, certified life coach, and during the infamous year of 2020, she obtained a post-graduate certificate in forensic psychology from San Diego State University.

She lives in the village of Wacousta in Clinton County, Michigan with her husband and dogs.
