"Hunter Gather Cook (HGC) is a mission statement. Author Nick Weston has spent the past decade on a wild food adventure, teaching the HGC philosophy. His new book charts just what that means. Weston stalks and shoots for the pot but it is Weston stalks and shoots for the pot but it is his advocacy of wild food and game, his passion to share that and the way in which he does this that makes this such an exciting new book."
-- "The Field magazine"Nick Weston specialised in Hunter-gatherer Studies and the Mesolithic as part of his Archaeology degree. On completion, he was selected by Channel 4 to be the Survival Expert for Shipwrecked, which involved spending three months in the Cook Islands teaching the islanders how to build shelters, hunt and gather food. When he returned, he built a treehouse and lived off the land for six months. A book about his experiences, The Treehouse Diaries, was published in 2010. Since then, he has written for numerous publications and set up a successful company, Hunter Gather Cook, which is a school for foraging, butchery, cooking and bushcraft. He lives in East Sussex, UK.
