Description

A Quick Drink presents 100 cocktail recipesfrom two of the most respected mixologists in the industry, Ivy Mix and Lynnette Marrero, in a guide for how to make better drinks at home, tailored to any mood or occasion.

Inspired by their experiences as cofounders of the popular, influential bartending competition for women called Speed Rackwhich hosts competitions to make drinks as quickly as possible using only ingredients provided onstageA Quick Drink expands on this model of efficiency as a guidebook to creating both original and classic cocktails, made from just a few common ingredients, and without time-consuming techniques. This book also offers Ivy and Lynnettes hard-earned wisdom gleaned from years in the industry, along with shining a spotlight on some of the other inspirational women in their field who have contributed a few of their own favorite recipes.

Each chapter contains cocktail recipes that adhere to a general style or sensibility, such as Celebratory and Sparkling or On Vacation, detailed explanations of why those recipes work so well, unique variations on well-known drinks, and a tutorial on how to develop your own signature cocktail. Mix and Marrero also add a few bonus tips on how you can make batched drinks for a group, and the ten essential things you need in your home bar.

A Quick Drink is a must-have for all women in the cocktail world and a perfect resource for professional bartenders and amateurs alike.
