Matt Skinner, branded London s funkiest sommelier by the Guardian newspaper, left his native Melbourne, Australia, in 2002 to head up wine at Jamie Oliver s Fifteen restaurant in London. Gifted with the refreshing knack of making wine simple, he has been teaching and writing about wine with his trademark passion and enthusiasm ever since. Matt writes regular columns for Waitrose Food Illustrated in the UK and appears on UKTV Food s Great Food Live and Food Uncut and The Lifestyle Network s Tobie & Matt with fellow Fifteener, Tobie Puttock. Matt is also author of Thirsty Work and the annual wine guide The Juice, both published by Mitchell Beazley. He lives, works and plays in Melbourne along with wife Carly and daughter Indi.
