Author Bio

Elizabeth D. Riesz, PhD, was the mother of Sarah, a young adult with Down syndrome - and the original mastermind behind this book. With a master's degree from the Harvard Graduate School of Education and a PhD in Educational Psychology from the University of Iowa, she enjoyed a long career in education. Elizabeth passed away in 2019 and is survived by her daughter as well as her husband, Peter.

Anne Kissack, MPH, RD, is a public health practitioner in chronic disease prevention and management. She has always had a passion for cooking and for sharing this love with others. She lives in Wisconsin with her husband and two children.
