The first half of this book is a user-friendly guide to food intolerances, an explanation of the Low-Fodmap diet and an overview of how to include it in your daily eating plan. Sue Shepherd, who understands that we don't all eat at home all the time, also gives advice on matters such as eating out, what to look out for when you're travelling and how to cook for children, vegetarians and people with diabetes. The information is conveyed in an approachable way, with plenty of diagrams to aid understanding. The second half of the book is a collection of 80 simple, family-friendly recipes, designed to show how people with food intolerances can still get a great deal of pleasure out of cooking and eating, with chapters on Light Meals, Main Meals, Baking and Desserts.
Sue Shepherd is the author of two gluten-free cookbooks, Irresisitibles for the Irritable and Two Irresistible for the Irritable, and also Gluten-free Cooking and The Gluten-free Kitchen.
