This book and program was designed specifically for Caregivers and Home Health Aides as those are the people that have jobs that prepares and serve food to citizens that are considered HIGH RISK of getting a food borne illness due to their ages and underlying health conditions. Also, if you are a new homemaker with a family and are now cooking for more than just yourself. It also teaches about Food Allergies and how to recognize the symptoms when your client is not able to let you know due to their mental state or are just unsure. It teaches about Personal and Kitchen Hygiene and depending on your style of clothing can possibly create a foodborne illness and what your should wear in the kitchen. Cooking to the correct temperature, is a must and are you sure what you have prepared is fully done Talks about the importance of using a thermometer and how that can save you from serving unsafe food. I know you know how to cook, but, are you doing it safely. There are a few true stories in the book involving how I or someone in my family caused a foodborne illness from our kitchen by which I am sure you can relate to.

Author Bio

Doreen is a magna cum laud graduate from Walnut Hill College, the Restaurant school with an Associate's Degree in Pastry. She's the founder of Sweetsies Sugarfree Sweets bakery formerly located in the 3200 block of Allegheny Ave in Philadelphia and Safetytips Cooking, Food Safety and Foodborne illness prevention from the perspective of the home kitchen course book and program. She's been featured on Channel 10 doing a sugar free cooking demo with Lori Wilson and Bill Henley. She was featured on the front page of the Milestone Senior Paper, and other articles written about how her mother's diabetes diagnosis got her started in sugar free baking in the Southwest Globe, the Westside Weekly and the Fallser community papers. She has completed non degree courses in business with the Women's Business Development Center, Penn Foster, Entrepreneur Works, and Workshops at Wharton Business Center. Most importantly, she was a Caregiver to her disabled mother and worked with Home Health Aides for 18 years which contributed to the creation of her course book and program.
