Description

DIASPORIC FUSION CUISINE: We believe this book to be a unique fusion of culinary styles not found in the market.Proudly Guyanese-Canadian with strong East Asian roots,Chef Dev'sparents immigrated to Toronto from Guyana in the 1970s, and although he wasnt born there, he visits frequently.

In the author's own words:

"It took me many years cooking professionally, over 10, to find both my voice and purpose. My upbringing in Toronto, Canada exposed me to so many diverse culinary avenues, and I explored all that I could. My training out of culinary school was also world inspired, and my focus for many years was that, a world-inspired Chef. Ive never felt more comfortable in my path that where I am at right now. I now identify as a Canadian-Guyanese chef looking to showcase and modernize West Indian cuisine. My ancestry is from South Asia, India to be specific. Based on my upbringings as a child and the religion and culture I was a part of, I feel very comfortable navigating and sharing my opinions on East Indian food.

They will have also armed themselves with many new techniques, ingredients and aces up their sleeve for the kitchen."
