Author Bio

Nirmala Narine is the owner of Nirmala's Kitchen, a line of spices, seasonings and exotic salts, which are a favorite of chefs and celebrities around the world. She teaches cooking in the New York Public Schools and works with children in orphanages throughout the world. Nirmala grew up in Guyana, South American and at the age of 10 moved to New York. When she is not traveling the world searching for spices and having adventures, she lives at her farm in the Hudson Valley where she is growing organic produce.
