Patrick McGuigan
Patrick is a freelance food journalist and cheese writer who contributes to media including the Telegraph, The Sunday Times and delicious among many others and has appeared on BBC Radio 4's The Food Programme. He has judged at the World Cheese Awards since 2010 and is a member of the Guild des Fromagers, and teaches cheese courses at the Guild of Fine Food and Academy of Cheese. He also works for Cheese Journeys, a travel company that takes guests on epic food trips around the UK, France, Switzerland, Italy and the Netherlands. He is the author of The Philosophy of Cheese and The Cheese Life, with Mathew Carver.
Carlos Yescas
Carlos Yescas has been a diplomat, professor and United Nations expert, and still juggles a number of jobs, including anti-poverty campaigner, cheese culture researcher and travel guide. He leads cheese tours in Europe and Latin America with his company Cheese Spelunker Tours. Born in Mexico, Yescas also sells Mexican cheeses with his company Lactography and is currently setting up a Latin American cheese expert network. His book, Quesos Mexicanos (Larousse, 2013) highlights some of the most important cheeses in Mexico. Carlos is an international cheese expert and has judged at the World Cheese Awards since 2009.
