Description

'It's taken me a long life to know for sure that life is for living, and that hard graft has to be worth it.
If you love making puff pastry from scratch, or would not dream of using frozen mashed potatoes, good on you. But honestly, the ready-made versions are often as good as the home-made variety, and they are a whole lot less trouble.
So, if you are whacked, short of time or just don't like cooking, cheating is fine. I cheat all the time, and I LOVE cooking.' -PRUE LEITH

Chef and TV legend Dame Prue Leith brings us the cookbook you've always wanted - 80 recipes, shortcuts and hacks for a lifetime of easy cooking. Every recipe in this book comes with an accompanying hint, tip or video to help you get ahead.
When should you opt for the ready-made versions How do you balance speed with creating rich, vibrant flavours How do you cook the perfect steak What's the best way to dice an avocado And what about when it just all goes terribly wrong

With recipes including Thai Chicken Burgers with Mango Slaw, Crispy Pork Belly, Celeriac Rmoulade and Cherry Clafoutis, Prue's handy hacks show you how a little bit of cooking insight goes a long way.

This book is intended to help the time-strapped home cook, the absolute beginner, or someone who has been doing it so long, cooking has somehow lost its attraction. Sometimes all you need is an original idea to inspire you, or a stunning recipe that is amazingly simple to achieve.
