Description

To many, Jock Zonfrillo was a chef and MasterChef Australia judge. To us, he was a dad, a papa, a husband, and the centre of our world. Our kitchen was never quiet music, laughter, coffee brewing, little footsteps, and always Jock in the middle, usually with one of his children nearby, learning or helping.

Before we lost him, Jock was working on this cookbook. So we decided to finish it for him.

Recipes to Remember are the meals he made for us birthday dinners, comfort food, meals with friends, quiet moments. Its the food our kids will remember. And now, were sharing it with you.

Thank you for giving him a place in your kitchen.

Featuring Jocks favourite recipes from some of his mates, including Jamie Oliver, Gordon Ramsay, Nigella Lawson, Marco Pierre White, Rick Stein, Maggie Beer, Christian Puglisi, Andy Allen, and Jimmy and Jane Barnes.

Author Bio

Jock Zonfrillo was a beloved chef, television presenter and restauranter best known as a judge on MasterChef Australia and as the host of Nomad Chef.Born in Glasgow to an Italian father and Scottish mother, Jocks formative years were heavily influenced by his respective cultures. Attracted to the dynamic and competitive kitchens of London, he worked alongside top chefs like Marco Pierre White, Gordon Ramsay and David Cavalier. On a year-long sabbatical in Sydney, Jock became curious about the taste and origins of Australia's Indigenous cuisine. He subsequentlymoved to Adelaide and opened Restaurant Orana in 2013, a fine-dining experience designed to acknowledge Indigenous culture through food. Jock was also a devoted father of four and married to businesswoman Lauren Zonfrillo.Sadly, he passed away in April 2023, leaving behind a legacy that continues to inspire the culinary world.
