Author Bio

Steven A. Frowine is a professional horticulturist, a consultant to the green industry, an avid gardener, and an active garden writer and speaker. He has tended orchids at the National Tropical Botanical Garden in Hawaii and at Missouri Botanical Garden, where he managed one of the largest orchid collections in the United States. Steven has written for Fine Gardening and National Gardening, as well as weekly gardening columns for the Pittsburgh Post and the St. Louis Post-Dispatch. He has appeared on national television talk shows including Martha Stewart Living, Good Morning America, The Today Show, The Victory Garden, and CBS Morning News. He is a board member of the National Gardening Association and has served on the boards of the Garden Writers of America and the American Association of Botanical Gardens and Arboreta. A much sought-after speaker, Steven is noted for his thorough knowledge, keen sense of humor, and excellent photography.
