Author Bio

Ian Spence is an author, broadcaster, prolific gardener and expert plantsman, who is based at Oakham in Rutland, UK. He worked for many years in Barnsdale, also in Rutland, preparing weekly projects for the BBC's hugely popular Gardeners' World program. He also demonstrated techniques for BBC Gardeners' World Magazine, as well as writing for the Daily Telegraph 's Weekend Magazine and Garden News. He gives frequent talks on radio and lectures on gardening throughout the UK.
