Ikebana: The Art of Arranging Flowers presents the first comprehensive introduction to the timeless art of Japanese flower arrangement. The book begins with a fascinating overview of the history of Ikebana from the earliest times up to the present day; introducing each of the classic Ikebana styles Rikka, Seika, Moribana, and Freestyle as well as the innovative contemporary forms of Ikebana that are now increasingly popular.
"This book, which covers all the major schools and styles of Japanese flower arranging, was first published in 1968 and remains an essential guide to learning the craft." --My Modern Met
