The time has come for a fresh, fun take on the classic granny square.
Featuring 20 popular animals (including dogs, cats, bears, sheep, pigs, lions, turtles, ladybirds, sloths and more), this book has a 3D animal to suit every taste! Use different stitches to create textured elements such as fluffy manes, shaggy fur and frilly tentacles, and crochet three-dimensional elements such as ears, eyes, horns, beaks and wings to bring the animals to life!
Once you've made your favourites or the whole menagerie, turn your tactile squares into a gorgeous blanket, the instructions for which are included at the end of the book.
Nicely presented, easy to follow patterns and the book is a useful size for taking with you traveling, so you can crochet along the way! I've used cotton so far although I'm switching to acrylic for the rest for softness.
-- Lyn Lewis * Amazon Customer Review *Cute, easy to make designs!
Nice range of designs, the instructions were very clear and simple to follow. I've only completed the bee so far but will continue to make more.
-- Maggie Goodsell * Amazon Customer Review *Putting a fresh twist on the classic granny square, Sarah-Jane Hicks has created 20 fun animal-themed designs, each including a textured 3D element such as shaggy fur, frilly tentacles, or horns, beaks and wings. Squares include pets, wild animals, sea creatures and mini beasts, with designs such as a penguin, turtle, lion, sloth, pig, ladybird, dog and cat. All squares use small quantities of yarn and can be incorporated into other projects or make the complete menagerie to create the blanket project in the book.
