Born in Belarus, a land of legends, swamps and castles, our esteemed author, Eugene Caine, followed in the footsteps of his father and grandfather, joining a grand tradition of classical artists. A graduate of the Belarusian State Academy of Arts, Eugene studied with the greatest teachers to preserve the history, techniques and secrets of the old masters. He has spent countless hours sketching, wandering through museums, and travelling the world to develop the unique artistic vision that is responsible for the beautiful images you see in this book. Long fascinated with art history and sharing the wonders of art with his students, Mr Caine is joining the next generation of great artists who will pass on the secrets and traditions of the masters.
