Since the end of the Last War, the great pirate fleets have roamed the ruins of the galaxy, pillaging, extorting, and enslaving. No one has had the power to stand against them, and the desperate few who have tried, have been quickly, and brutally, crushed. However, when the independent crews are hired for a simple hostage rescue, it leads to a dangerous opportunity to strike a blow against tyranny. Two of the largest, and most vicious, pirate fleets are meeting for a parlay near the ruins of an ancient research station, a station that once experimented with supernova level events. If the crews can locate the station, slip past the pirates, and infiltrate the station, it might be possible to release such an event just as the fleets have gathered Hope Eternal is a solo and cooperative expansion for Stargrave. Along with full rules for playing the game in this new style, the book contains an intricate campaign of inter-connect scenarios. Whether a player wants to attempt this campaign on their own, or with the help of another independent crew, they finally have the chance to bring a little hope back to the ravaged galaxy!
Joseph A. McCulloughs first brush with writing for games was as co-author of The Grey Mountains supplement for the Middle-Earth Role-Playing Game, and he has remained passionate about Fantasy gaming since, going on to become an award-winning game designer. He is the creator of the Frostgrave Family of skirmish wargames (the Fantasy titles Frostgrave, Ghost Archipelago, Rangers of Shadow Deep, and the Sci-Fi evolution, Stargrave) and of the Oathmark Fantasy battle game and The Silver Bayonet, a game of Napoleonic Gothic Horror. The latest information on his game design and other writing can be found at: josephamccullough.com. Biagio D'Alessandro is an Italian illustrator. After graduating in fine art, he decided that drawing monsters, demons and aliens would be more fun. In a decade as a professional illustrator, he has collaborated with a wide range of publishers such as Paizo Publishing, Monte Cook Games, and AEG. Helge C. Balzer was born in northern Germany and, as a teenager, made short films, advertising spots, and worked as a storyboard artist. Later, he studied computer animation and concept art at the Konrad Wolf Film University of Babelsberg, going on to work as a matte painter, sculptor, animator, and concept artist for numerous international game productions. Alongside this, Helge has created award-winning short films as a director, production designer, and producer. Today, Helge lives in Germany, working as a freelance illustrator, concept artist, and art director in the entertainment industry for clients such as Wizards of the Coast, Games Workshop, Black Library, Fantasy Flight Games, Cubicle 7, Paizo, and many, many more.
