Description

Whether you're a Pointless armchair aficionado, nostalgic for the days of Going for Gold, or a bona fide Mastermind...THIS IS THE BOOK FOR YOU!!

Fingers on Buzzers! is an interactive, kaleidoscopic, bonanza celebration and history of the British quiz from Lucy Porter and Jenny Ryan, the presenters of the podcast Fingers on Buzzers.

Author Bio

With 12 Edinburgh Festival shows and national tours to her name, LUCY PORTER has also written sitcoms and stand-up specials for Radio 4, and appeared on TV quizcoms such as The News Quiz, Have I Got News For You and QI to name a few so it was no surprise when she began wiping the floor with the competition in celebrity versions of some of the UK's biggest TV quizzes, including The Weakest Link, Mastermind and, of course, The Chase, where sadly she didn't play against Jenny.

JENNY RYAN is best known as one of the resident elite quizzers on the multiple award-winning ITV teatime quiz show The Chase, but that's only the beginning of her talents. A finalist on The X-Factor: Celebrity in 2019, she has the voice of a Broadway diva, and the smarts to be a guest on shows ranging from Saturday Night Takeaway to Would I Lie To You She's seen all sides of the quiz-showbusiness, from early days as a question writer on The Weakest Link, a stint as one of the Elves on QI, to getting her break in front of the cameras (and Bradley Walsh) as 'The Vixen' in 2014. Away from the glamour of the small screen, she quizzes in leagues in London and her native Bolton, and plays and sings in a ukulele band.
