Sophie Corrigan's Animal Anatomyis a collection of cute and funny animal illustrations that parody traditional anatomical drawings with funny nonsensical (though they make complete sense) labels. A tree frog, for example sports "clingy jazz hands," a raccoon face is otherwise known as a "sneaky bandito mask," and a velociraptor's claws are labeled "disembowly prowlies." Real animal facts, animal art, and fun animal puns (much of it brand new and specifically created for this book) is interspersed throughout.
"Each page contains humorous animal diagrams, and a few have word-based jokes about animal names, such as comparing an axolotl to an. wait for it. axolittle. There are also some genuine animal facts strewn about. It's an incredibly fun read."
