Author Bio

Nashville, Tennessee-based artist Kristin Llamas creates work that is project-based ranging from large scale paintings to digital drawings to street art installations the common theme being that the work is guided by conversation with the community. Her llama illustration series stems from her Llamas Art Show, in which she plays upon her own last name to study the stories behind everyone's name: individuals submit their naming stories (Why were you given that name Do you relate to it etc) and in return, she creates each name as a drawing of a llama.
