Norman Thelwell contributed more than 1,600 cartoons to Punch magazine, theSunday Express and Tatler. Thelwell's cartoons remain a popular and wry lookat British life. He was particularly w ell-known for his cartoons on horse riding,fishing, sailing, motoring and country pursuits and was one of the foundermembers of the British Cartoonists' Association.
