Lisa Swerling is a writer and illustrator. Her husband Ralph Lazar is a writer, artist, and illustrator. Together, they are best known for their cartoon characters Harold's Planet, Vimrod and The Brainwaves. Harold's Planet and Vimrod are amongst the UK's most prominent cartoon characters, selling as greetings cards in the millions, and have been published by Penguin, Harper Collins, and Andrews McMeel. They are the authors of Me Without You, Happiness Is and Friendship Is They live with their children in Marin, California.
