The award-winning BBC comedy This Country documents the day-to-day lives of young cousins Kerry and Lee 'Kurtan' Mucklowe who live in a small village in the Cotswolds. Filmed in the same mocumentary style as The Office, the show follows them as they interact with the other residents of their claustrophobic Cotswold village: the local vicar (and one-time 80s popstar), Reverend Francis Seaton; aspiring tattoo artist, bodyguard and S Club 7 fan, Mandy Harris; and self-confessed peeper and bookies' favourite for Worst Father in Britain, Martin Mucklowe.

Described by the Guardian's Lucy Mangan as 'perfection', Helen Bownass in Stylist as 'the funniest show on TV' and Simon Horsford in the Daily Telegraph as 'superb', This Country has run for two series and is already a smash hit with viewers, winning three BAFTA awards (for Best Comedy Writers, Best Scripted Comedy and Best Female Performance in a Comedy) and three RTS Programme Awards. The recent iPlayer special garnered 5 million streams alone.

Now, this autumn, comes the first official tie-in. In keeping with the mocumentary style of the show, and in the manner of best TV comedy books, This Is This Country is a hilarious 'in world' spoof, and a parody of local parish newsletters. Author Bio

Kerry Mucklowe is a part time professional pet babysitter and full-time street fighter who also still manages to find the time to be her own personal security. When she's not bashing someones face in she enjoys conducting science experiments with soda streams, and once performed a successful autopsy on a dead Daddy Dong Legs.

Kurtan Mucklowe once came a very close second in the 100m at his primary school sports day. This meant he was the second fastest in his whole school until he decided to retire at the age of 11 to pursue his other talent of blowing things up with them little french bangers. He once famously blew a head off of a Playmobil ambulance man, and was the first person ever in the village to put 20 bangers in a cow pat and blow it to smithereens. Kurtan is currently pursuing an interest in aerosol fireballs.
