Wander through the inspiring homes of English design visionaries, with this interior style guide by House & Garden features editor Elizabeth Metcalfe. Of the countless interior design trends that come and go every year, there is one that clearly endures: the ever-evolving eclecticism of the English style. Embraced by homeowners the world over, its playful and adaptable character allows for both experimentation and aesthetic cohesion. Today, it's enjoying another surge of appreciation within interior design circles, with clean white lines and minimalist mid-century furniture increasingly being shunned for bold, colourful walls, pattern clashes and mis-matched pieces. This delightful style revival is reflected in the homes of contemporary creatives who have embellished it with unique and fresh perspectives, including: Lucinda Chambers Max Hurd Cath Kidston Luke Edward Hall and Duncan Campbell Fee Greening Annie Morris and Idris Kahn For all these design icons, interior decorators, architects, furniture makers, artists and creators, their homes are their inspiration and their canvas. For some, these homes have been 30 years in the making, while for others, their journeys have only just begun. This book celebrates the exciting future of this timeless style and is the perfect inspirational gift for lovers of classic but creative design ideas.
