I read 'I love Happy Cats' and it is amazing! I recently adopted two beautiful little kittens and your book is a true eye-opener. I grew up with cats and I thought I knew a lot about them. Well, I didn't! I've changed so many things around the house now. For example, we've put the water away from the food, stopped using the laser light, and stopped holding the cats like babies and changed the way we pet and approach them. We instantly realized the kittens came up to us for affection and cuddles SO much more, more than ever before. The change was instant! All small things but oh so effective! It's not because 'we used to do it like that all the time before, ' that we should keep doing it. Your book has changed every idea I had about cats and I am forever grateful! - Anne-Fleur Nijhuis, cat mummy of Victor and Olivier, Overijssel, The Netherlands
This book should be read by EVERY cat lover. It's about how small steps can really improve the relationship with your cats and make it stronger. I took on several ideas that Anneleen gave me, while reading the book, like improving the resources in the house, making sure they had the possibility to show natural behaviors all around the house. The things your vet or pet shop won't tell you. From now on they need to 'work' a bit more for their food and we are effortlessly adapting our own behavior in a subtle way more and more so the cats have less stress around the house. I understand their behavior so much more now, and I feel more confident. One of my cats was quite unhappy and stressed and she has completely flourished since I read the book. And so am I! Thank you so much, Anneleen! - Annuska Rogina, cat mummy of Millau, Kato en Hermelien, Wetteren, Belgium.
This is an amazing and really accessible book, full of handy facts, a true reference work for cat owners AND professionals. Especially the know-how on recognizing subtle stress signals and how to respond to them are real building blocks for a closer and more fun relationship with our cats. When your cat can really be 'a cat' in every way possible, it is destined to become a truly happy cat! - Eva Van Ginneken, Cat Coach at Instacat.be, Belgium
