Golden Retrievers covers the origins of the breed and seeks to interpret the Breed Standard. Choosing and rearing a puppy is fully explained, as is feeding, grooming and general management, eye-examination and hip x-ray procedures are covered in detail, together with various activities for dog and owner to share. The book is written to appeal to both the novice and experienced owner.
Lyn Anderson bought her first Golden Retriever in 1965. The Linchael Kennel was soon established, producing over twenty title-holders. Lyn has judged throughout the world, and her dogs have twice won the coveted Best-of-Breed award at Crufts. For many years she wrote the breed notes for Our Dogs magazine and writes internationally on canine topice. An experienced lecturer, Lyn gives seminars on the breed in Europe and beyond. This is her second book on the breed. Resident: North Yorkshire
