The Giant Sequoia is an evergreen long-lived tree living for up to 2,200 years. They are the tallest trees on Earth, reaching up to 115.5 m (379.1 ft) in height and 8 m (26ft) diameter at breast height. They are native to coastal California and the southwestern corner of Oregon within the United States.

Sequoia National Park is the laregest known forest of such trees, Early settlers hacked tunnels through their trunks as tourist attractions which vactioners now drive their cars through.
