Author Bio

Michael Homoya has been a botanist and plant ecologist for the Indiana Department of Natural Resources Division of Nature Preserves for more than 35 years. His duties include the discovery, botanical inventory, and assessment of significant natural communities and monitoring of Indiana s threatened and endangered plants. Michael is the president of the Indiana Native Plant and Wildflower Society and adjunct faculty at Indiana University. Scott Namestnik is the Heritage Program Botanist for the Indiana Department of Natural Resources Division of Nature Preserves and a founding member of the North Chapter of the Indiana Native Plant and Wildflower Society. He is also involved with the Indiana Academy of Science, serving on the Biodiversity and Natural Areas Committee and as the vice-chair of the Plant Systematics and Biodiversity Section.
