Description

Pilley and Addy are two young woodpeckers living in their tree hole while waiting for their flight wings. This story highlights some of their daily activities and antics. Pilley is preoccupied with wanting to fly, while Addy loves to play games and wants to solve the mystery of why some birds nod to them and others do not. Sibling rivalry competitions, woodpecker games, and visits from friends and family occupy their days. When Pilley and Addy are finally ready to fly, they must learn the Woodpeckers' Creed. Understanding the Creed helps them solve the nod mystery and gives them an appreciation for having an extended family. This humorous fictional story is told through the use of actual photographs of Pilley and Addy.
