Reviews

Regarded as the man in the know, this is another in their well-respected series written by James Taylor. Definitely worth buying if you are less than an expert and considering buying a Series 1 Discovery. Good ones can be difficult to find and this publication will help you spot potential problems as well as going through the variants to help you make the right choice. The idea behind the series is to make the buying process and subsequent ownership both painless and enjoyable. It's like having a real expert in your pocket and will help you avoid expensive mistakes. - Classic Land Rover. The Discovery I is something of a bargain right now, so this new guide's launch couldn't come soon enough. Low values means high temptation, but also that there are a lot of poor condition cars around. By far the best part of this guide is the DIY inspection section, where the guide walks you through the car, with condition numbers to circle on each major point. Otherwise, lots of colour images and illustrations are welcome. Worth getting before going out to look at a Discovery if you're anything but a marque specialist. - Classic Car Weekly.
