CHRISTOPHER P. BAKER is a travel writer, photographer, and lecturer, with a particular interest in the Caribbean and Latin America. He is the author of four books on Costa Rica and is responsible for the travel app Pura Vida! He wrote for the National Geographic Traveler guides Colombia, Cuba, Dominican Republic, and Panama, as well as the fascinating and award-winning travel diary Mi Moto Fidel: Motorcycling through Castro's Cuba . Baker-winner of the Lowell Thomas Award Travel Journalist of the Year 2008-writes regularly for publications such as the Robb Report and National Geographic Traveler magazine. He has lectured for the National Geographic Society (broadcast live on National Geographic); he has been featured in USA Today and on ABC, CBS, and Fox, as well as many other radio and TV broadcasts. He is the National Geographic Expeditions guide for Costa Rica, Panama, and Cuba.
