The author is a girl who was born in Korea and grew up in America. She visits Korea with her mother and her little brother during her summer break. She writes about her fears in visiting new places and her joys in encountering new things. Her family comforts her and shares her joy.
Christine is a 9 year old girl. Her family moved to Atlanta when she was 10 months old. When she finished her 1st grade, her mother took both Christine and her little brother to Korea and spend summer there. Christine learned how to read and write Korean during that summer. This trip motivated her to write a story about her experience of adventuring new country. Christine is a book lover. So she enjoys reading new books during her free time. She also likes drawing pictures, traveling, and chatting with friends.
