Erin Vivid Riley is a writer, reporter, and editor whose work has appeared in the Washington Post, Bloomberg Businessweek, and the New York Times. She also edits and writes for brands, books, and non-profits.

She's the former travel editor at Outside, where she helped the magazine win more Lowell Thomas Travel Journalism Awards than any other publication two of the three years she was there. She's lived in Singapore, Mauritius, Malaysia, China, the Philippines, Lebanon, and the U.A.E., and is currently based between Santa Fe, New Mexico, and Istanbul, Turkey.
