From Cairo and Luxor to the Valley of the Kings and Aswan Dam, youll find a plethora of new experiences, such as how to ride a camel properly, belly dance, and travel in the footsteps of the Holy Family.
Brought up in northern England, Andrew Humphreys first traveled to Egypt in 1988 on a brief holiday, but he liked it so much he decided not to go home. Since then his life has been divided between the colour and chaos of Cairo, and the rather more leaden skies and ordered deadlines of the London publishing world. On assignment for a variety of periodicals, including National Geographic Traveler and The Wall Street Journal, over the years, he has explored every part of Egypt, cruising Lake Nasser, watching the sun rise from Mount Sinai, and sleeping beneath the stars in the Grand Sand Sea.
