Stan Fischler is a hockey historian, broadcaster, and author known as "the Hockey Maven" in both local and national circles. He has appeared on MSG and MSG Plus regional sports networks in the New York City metropolitan area, providing general hockey analysis and writing columns for the networks' website. He has authored or coauthored more than 90 books, including Fischler's Illustrated History of Hockey and New York Rangers: Greatest Moments and Players. He lives in New York City. Rod Gilbert played for the New York Rangers in the National Hockey League. He was inducted into the Hockey Hall of Fame in 1982, and was the first player in team history to have his number retired. Rod currently works for the New York Rangers Organization.
