The major purpose of this book is to enable identification of the wild plant species of Mount Oku and the Ijim Ridge, in particular 'Red Data' taxa (those that are the highest priorities for conservation). Of the nearly one thousand species and subspecies described in this book, 52 are threatened or near threatened with extinction. Of these, 14 are only found in Ijim area and nowhere else in the world. This publication will help foresters, agriculturists and medical practitioners.
