Description
This book provides botanists in the region with the means to assemble complex information on Brazilian plant diversity. Nine thousand and sixty-six specimens were examined and 869 species are recorded in 135 genera, and duplicates lodged in Kew and at other herbaria can be checked against the correct determination. Gwilym Peter Lewis (born 1952) is a British botanist, a curator at the Royal Botanic Gardens, Kew, and a leading expert on neotropical Leguminosae.
