The first in a series on wildlife of conservation interest in the Pacific Northwest, "Sammich and Rumples Meet the Wolf in the Woods" invites readers on a quest alongside the story's titular characters, a corgi named Sammich and a pug named Rumples. The two pups live quaint lives in a dogs-only town on the coast, undisturbed by thoughts of the world at large. Their days of beach-combing and lounging are interrupted when both of them receive the same, mysterious dream. Intrigued, they set off to discover its source. What they find is the chance to explore, to live with passion and curiosity, and to open their eyes to the wonders and complexities and heartbreaks of the world they are a part of.This educational and thought-provoking book features new vocabulary, discussion questions, and 50 pages of hand-painted illustrations!
