Specialized databases typically use thier own in-build interface to provide access to their contents, occasionally augmented by specialized tools for analysis. This volume concentrates on three of these specialized databases: the RDP database of pre-aligned ribosomal RNA sequences, together with the AE2 multiple sequence editor; the GDB human genome database; and the ACeDB database model.
