Pocket Anatomy and Physiology integrates structure and function at both the macroscopic and microscopic level, allowing the reader to see the connection between detailed anatomy and function. This compact book combines clear illustrations of body regions, organs, cells and physiological events with succinct but informative text that explains the function of the relevant system and structure. Common diseases (obesity, diabetes mellitus, coeliac disease, autoimmune disease) have been used to illustrate principles of normal body function, as well as dysfunction in disease.
