Author Bio

Barbara Goodman Siegel is an ordained ministerial counselor, nationally published author and teacher. Prior to becoming a ministerial counselor, Barbara was a career consultant and author. Her book, The 5 Secrets to Finding a Job (Impact Publications, 1994) was based on her experience as a career consultant. Barbara is proud to say that her book was used in the first federally funded virtual program that reached high school and college students as well as prison inmates ready to go back into the job market. Barbara was a sought-after speaker on the art of finding a job and appeared on national media from New York to Los Angeles. She also wrote career search articles for the St. Louis Post Dispatch.
Soon after Barbara's book was published, she was introduced by a friend to A Course in Miracles. That, she says, was a life changing experience and she became a dedicated student. A year later, she had a unique opportunity to study Jewish mysticism with a well renowned teacher. Even though the language used in these two teachings was different, Barbara saw that both were reflecting the same truths.
After several years of studying the Course and Jewish mysticism, Barbara felt a strong pull to redirect her own career into spiritual counseling, teaching, and writing. She became an ordained ministerial counselor through Pathways of Light, a non-denominational spiritual college with teachings based on ACIM. Barbara was ordained in 2010 and since then she has been able to fulfil her desire to teach, write for spiritual publications, and provide non-denominational spiritual counseling.
Barbara lives in St. Louis, MO with her husband Bob and their rescue cat, Mitzy. She continues to be a devoted student of the Course. She engages in many in-person and on-line teachings and retreats related to the Course (as well as other spiritual material), and enjoys long walks where she can commune with all of God's wonderful creation.
