This volume comprises fifteen essays classified in three major sections. Some of these essays raise theoretical and methodological issues while others focus on specific topics. The time span ranges from late biblical period to the present. Author Bio

Professor Isaac Kalimi is currently Rosenthal Distinguished Visiting Professor in Biblical and Judaic Studies at Case Western Reserve University (Cleveland, OH) and Professor of Hebrew Bible and Ancient Israelite/Jewish History at Spertus Institute of Jewish Studies (Chicago). Peter J. Haas is Chair and Abba Hillel Silver Professor of Jewish Studies and Director, Samuel Rosenthal Center for Judaic Studies, at Case Western Reserve University, Cleveland, Ohio.
