Description

Episcopalians newly discovering their church home or long-time members who may have forgotten why they love the church will appreciate Unabashedly Episcopalian. Bishop Andy Doyle has mined the Baptismal Covenant and his own experiences leading the Diocese of Texas. The result is a heartfelt, smart and practical book that calls Episcopalians to wake up to the church s unique gifts and story, and equips them to share that witness in their neighborhoods and out in the world."

Reviews

"Andy Doyle reminds us what this corner of God's Church has to offer a suffering world. He has written a love letter to a church that could use one right this minute!"
Ray Suarez, senior correspondent, PBS NewsHour

"Fresh, genuine, reasoned and passionate, Andy Doyle's warm invitation to the faith of The Episcopal Church is a gift for those renewing or discovering their faith. The book itself is a work of creative evangelism."
Cynthia Briggs Kittredge, professor and academic dean, Episcopal Seminary of the Southwest

"Bishop Andy Doyle speaks in a voice so reassuring and confident that one is ready to follow him as he follows Jesus. Unabashedly Episcopalian is simultaneously an introduction to The Episcopal Church and a model for those who feel called to share its story with boldness, heart and humor."
Jim Naughton, editor of Episcopal Cafe and author of Speaking Faithfully: Communications as Evangelism in a Noisy World
