Author Bio

Darryl Brumfield has spent more than 30 years as a pastor and Bible teacher both at home and abroad while working full time as a software engineer. Darryl started public speaking as a child by telling jokes in his family room in Compton California. Since then, God has given him a passion to accurately teach God's word using humor and practical applications to a diverse social, economic and cultural audience. Currently, Darryl lives in Southern California with his wife Linda where he continues to blur the lines between secular and sacred. He speaks regularly at retreats and church services. He serves his local church (NewSong-Santa Ana), as a volunteer teaching pastor and he continues to develop innovative IT solutions for an industry leading technology company. But most of all he continues to approach life with hope that is rooted in hearing God.
