Birthed in the majestic, snowcapped mountains of Anchorage, Alaska, Pressing for the Prize Radio Ministries, challenged, encouraged, inspired and equipped the listener through the Word of God, to walk in faith and keep pressing to Jesus. The path leading to victory was paved with principles that lead us into His Presence and gave way to the courage to change through the transforming power of the Holy Spirit, as we walked by faith in the Word of God. Dying to the self-life is the ultimate surrender for the believer. Many resist this part of their walk with the Lord because they have been trained in the things of the world instead of the power of the Scriptures. But there is more to our living than what the world offers us if we are to be pleasing to God. Making the choice to die to ourselves and live unto Christ reveals Jesus as the reward, not later, but now! Jesus inside of us, "the Hope of Glory" is not form, but power. Regardless of how it appears on the outside (and sometimes it is very ugly), we will be strengthened in the ways of God and change daily, if we keep our eyes on Jesus. That press was deposited into my spirit as God prepared me for the assignment of Pressing for the Prize Radio Ministries and became a way of life and transformed me through every trial in every season, by the Word of God and the power of the Holy Spirit. I had to work through flaws and weaknesses then and even now, yet through God's grace, I continue to be violent in my surrender to His will and way and victorious in my living for Christ. From the days of John, the Baptist, the Kingdom of God has suffered violence. Those that are violent in their faith, discipline, obedience and surrender to God's purpose and plan for their lives, will take it by force. The principles, disciplines, and strategies outlined in God's Word, work when we consistently and violently apply them to our daily living. I pray that you will be strengthened, encouraged and challenged to finish your course, as you recognize that "Greater" is within you; speaking, guiding and delivering you every day. Dr. Marie Hawkins is a gift to the Body of Christ and is anointed to teach the Word of God, unbound by denominational lines. Loved as an encourager, sister, friend, and spiritual mother, but most importantly as an equipper of the saints, the writer, host, and executive producer of Pressing for the Prize Radio Ministries heard throughout Alaska and select cities throughout the United States for over 15 years ministering healing, hope, and perseverance to the listeners. Dr. Hawkins holds an Honorary Doctorate of Divinity (DD) for her 32 years of planting, birthing, teaching, and equipping work in the Kingdom of God. Her battle cry to the people of this present age as she speaks to the greatness of God within each of them is Don't Give Up, Don't Give Out, and Don't Give In! Keep Pressing to Jesus!
