Author Bio

As executive director of Woman's Missionary Union, a million-plus-member missions organization, Wanda Lee travels three or more times a month to speak to church, state, and national audiences. Her desire is to ignite a passion for missions in the church, establish WMU's identity as a center for missions discovery, and to encourage every Christian to find and fulfill his or her purpose in Christ's kingdom. Wanda and her husband, Larry, served as missionaries on the island of St. Vincent for several years until they had to return home for health reasons. Wanda then served as a nurse for more than 20 years before she took the helm of WMU. A devoted churchwoman, Wanda has taught youth for 15 years and traveled on countless missions trips. Wanda and Larry have two adult children and one grandchild; they live in Birmingham, Alabama.
