Description

Jesus said in this life, we will have troubles but to take heart because He has overcome the world. I translate this to myself and say, "In this life, I will have lemons to deal with but I can take heart because Jesus is the sweetener needed to make fudge out of lemon juice!
"When Life Gives You Lemons, Make Fudge" is not about downplaying tough times; "When Life Gives You Lemons, Make Fudge" is meant to help you make it through the tough times one "sweet ingredient" at a time with a bible verse, a prayer, a song, just one ingredient at a time.

Author Bio

Leisha Smith is a born-again Christian woman who lives in a rural community near Cleveland, TN. She was born in Oak Park, Illinois but was raised in Tennessee because her parents wanted her and her siblings to grow up near their grandparents. She is married to her coffee pot and best friend, Gene, for 37 years and counting and has raised four children, three sons, and a daughter, and her oldest son moved away to live with Jesus in 2007. She gained two daughters in love, thanks to her two sons, and has been blessed with four grandest-grandchildren. She loves her family dearly. She loves Alabama football, the ocean, camping, and Christmas decorations.
When Life Gives You Lemons, Make Fudge is her first book but she has written many devotions, songs, plays, and skits over the years. She believes laughter is a way to absorb pain instead of trying to shed the pain and pretend it isn't happening. Her desire is that others can find the sweetness of God even during the sourest moments of life.
