Author Bio
Jeanne Ryckmans was born in 1966. After graduating from the Australian National University with a Bachelor of Arts in 1988, she studied Comparative Literature at the Sorbonne in Paris. She has worked as a reporter, presenter and producer for both French and Australian television networks; she is also a freelance journalist. In 1995 she produced and directed a documentary, The Flying Nun, for SBS Television which provided the inspiration for this book. She currently lives in Sydney.
