HARMEET SAWHNEY is Associate Professor at the Department of Telecommunications Indiana University, Bloomington. GEORGE A. BARNETT is Professor of Communication at the State University of New York at Buffalo./e He has written numerous articles and conference papers on organizational, political, mass and intercultural communication, as well as, information systems and the diffusion of communication technologies. His current research deals with internationl information flows and the process of globalization, focusing primarily on telecommunication.
